QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Be willing and able to travel, as needed (personal transportation required)
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required
  • The ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem
  • The ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly, including under stressful situations
  • The ability to train, develop, and lead a team
  • Knowledgeable of construction industry standards and regulations related to sheet metal fabrication and installation
  • Have all HVAC sheet metal hand tools
  • Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools, such as shears, brakes, punches, welding equipment, and measuring tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues or defects in sheet metal products or installations
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for working with sheet metal, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trains and develops everyone assigned to the project, to improve their individual and collective work quality, productivity, and safety
  • Perform complex calculations and planning for unique or particularly large jobs
  • Must be able to coordinate with all trades on job site
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine material and people needs, to establish the sequence of installations
  • Correctly complete daily reports, time cards and scheduling updates using given tools and technology platforms
  • Supervise complex tasks such as the cutting of openings in structures to accommodate ducts and duct fittings, using hand and power tools
  • Ensuring the quality and timeliness of duct assembly installations
  • Schedule work on assigned projects in sequential steps and within time limits to meet deadlines;
  • Review blueprints, drawings and building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  • Enforce all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries while working with sheet metal
  • Must be able to run a crew of 1 to 15 employees
  • Must be able to draw up any fitting or duct that needs to be made
  • Must be able to alter, modify, or make changes with the engineers' approval to get the job done
