Senior Manager / Director – Data Center Development

We are a mission-driven infrastructure company focused on advancing clean energy solutions across the U.S. We’re looking for a strategic and experienced professional to lead the development of large-scale data centers that integrate with renewable energy assets.

Job Description:

The Senior Manager / Director of Data Center Development will oversee the full lifecycle of data center projects—from site selection and feasibility analysis to permitting, design, and energy integration. This role requires strong project management skills, technical understanding of energy infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead site identification and evaluation, including infrastructure assessments and risk analysis.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and development teams to align project goals.
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Negotiate energy supply agreements and coordinate with utilities to support power delivery and infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in energy, infrastructure, or real estate project management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in data centers / hyperscaler infrastructure.
• Familiarity with interconnection processes, energy markets, and substation infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and work from a company hub location at least 3 days per week
