Job Summary Providence Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Clinical Officer to lead clinical operations and advance our mission of delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care. This dual-role executive will collaborate closely with the senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, optimize operational performance, and promote innovative care models across the region. Key Responsibilities
• Provide executive leadership over all clinical services, oversee daily operations, workflow, and resource management to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery.
• Drive a culture of Service Excellence and ensure staff uphold patient rights, satisfaction, and dignity.
• Collaborate with physicians and administrative leaders to align clinical operations with organizational strategy.
• Develop and implement organizational policies, procedures, and performance standards to meet legal, regulatory, and quality benchmarks.
• Lead and support performance improvement, safety, and quality assurance initiatives through data analysis and outcome tracking.
• Engage in strategic planning and the annual budgeting process to align financial and operational goals.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost containment and process improvement.
• Cultivate a strong, mission-driven workforce through effective hiring, training, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
• Address patient concerns and employee issues in a timely, solutions-focused manner.
• Represent the clinical voice in executive meetings, board meetings, and cross-functional committees.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and Nebraska state laws.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices, innovations in care delivery, and rural health trends.
• Participate actively in various hospital committees, including Quality, Safety, Compliance, Infection Control, and Service Excellence.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing, Healthcare, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Healthcare or a related field preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent within thirty days of employment.
Experience
• Five years of experience in a clinical or administrative work setting is required.
• Two years in a healthcare management position with working knowledge of a Critical Access Hospital, Healthcare Administration, and Operations preferred.
